Born in Bahia Blanca in 1975, after high school Larissa moved to Buenos Aires to study Graphic Design at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning, University of Buenos Aires.
Working professionally during the last year of her degree, on graduation her client list quickly expanded to include major music industry projects (Creamfields, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Southfest, Faithless, Divididos, RCA Victor); fashion campaigns (Awada, Ayres, 45rpm, Rapsodia, Paruolo); as well as a number of movie posters, identities and TV commercials.
After teaching Graphic Design, her practice has since taken a more experimental turn. Her ‘Life Is A Collage’ project began in 2008 and has evolved and expanded to become her principal method of communication. The possibilities of fixed manual collage in the digital age provide exciting opportunities to engage with craft, materials, analysis and outcomes. The limitations of found materials, random and manual tools provide a sharper, more immediate, and more human dynamic than is possible with computer software.
